Welcome to RMT Vaishnava Sabha

The Rig Veda talks about Vaishnavism-

om tad visnoh paramam padam sada pasyanti surayah diviva caksur atatam

"Just as the sun's rays in the sky are extended to the mundane vision, so in the same way the wise and learned devotees always see the supreme abode of Lord Vishnu."

tad vipraso vipanyavo jagrvam sah samindhate visnor yat paramam padam

"Because those highly praiseworthy and spiritually awake devotees are able to see the spiritual world, they are also able to reveal that supreme abode of Lord Vishnu."

The supremacy of Vishnu is reinforced by the Avatars (incarnations) of Vishnu. One of the founding pillars of Sri Vaishnavam is the concept of losing the sense of "I" or "aham". Known for its simplicity, tolerance and importance to the acharya or teacher, Vaishnavam are spread through four main sampradaya-

  • Sri Lakshmi
  • Brahma
  • Rudra
  • Kumara
  • Madhava

Its philosophy is known as 'Vishishtadvaita' whose goal is attaining Brahman or blissful reality while adhering to codified beliefs and rituals. Thus the Central idea revolves around an Ultimate Principle or Absolute Being recognized as the source of all existence. The twin pillars of self surrender and undivided devotion guides one to the immanent spirit. Stalwarts such as Ramanuja, Vedanta Desikan, Manavalamuni, Nadamuni, Alwars and Alavandar to name a few have led by their example. They have advanced the religious dogma by their profound philosophical poems, thoughts and teachings such as Divya Prabandams, Ramayana, Sahasranama stotras, Vedarthasangraha, Sribhashyam etc.

Our aim is to make sure this elevated philosophy of Vishistadvaitam, specifically Sri Vaishnavism, is brought to the forefront and disseminated to a wide audience free of cost.
